Removing stones from horse arena footing
The Rockaway powered rake can be fitted with a screening companion bucket for horse arenas and other prepared riding surfaces. As the carrier moves in reverse, the rotating teeth lift stones and debris from the surface into the bucket. The screening option allows smaller footing material to fall through, reducing the amount of usable sand removed with the rocks.
Screening companion bucket
The optional reinforced screening bucket uses approximately ¾ × ¾-inch diamond-shaped openings. The rake can collect stones approximately ½ to 8 inches. The screening bucket is designed to retain stones approximately 1 inch and larger while returning finer footing. Pickup and retention depend on material conditions.

Applications include equestrian arenas, paddock maintenance, landscape soil conditioning and preparation of areas where stones interfere with use. Confirm the rake's hydraulic flow, mounting, screen choice and working width for the intended carrier.
Operating approach
Work in controlled passes and adjust depth to avoid disturbing more footing than necessary. Dry, loose material generally screens more readily than wet or compacted footing. Empty the bucket as required, then make a finishing pass to level the surface.

Choose a package for your footing
The screening bucket is an option for all three Rockaway sizes: 44-inch 4415, 74-inch 7415 and 84-inch 8415. Choose a width suited to the loader and arena access. The screening bucket has ¾-inch diamond openings designed to retain stones approximately 1 inch and larger while returning finer footing.
Describe the footing material, depth, moisture and typical rock size when requesting a quote. Screening results depend on those conditions. The rake can collect smaller stones, but the screening bucket's openings determine which material remains in the bucket.
A solid bucket can also collect rocks, carrying more footing away with them. Confirm whether the quote includes a complete rake and screening-bucket package or a compatible bucket upgrade.
